Hi all,

I need to crop for a 30x40 print but don't know what aspect ratio that is. How do I figure that out?

Thanks!
Donna

Oh, and who do you recommend for printing this?

30 by 40 is the same as 3 x 4, or commonly written as 4:3.

Sorry can't help with printing; I've used Costco for posters, but 20x30 is the largest I think they do.

Aspect ratio is 3x4. (Divide both by 10).

Can't advise on printers.

Thanks, I realized that as soon as I posted so I deleted but you're quick! (-: Someone else suggested Black River Imaging for printing which I'll check out. And yes, Costco maxes at 20x30 but I don't think their print quality is anything like some other labs. I used them for years but not that much lately.

Units not specified... assume mm or cm then printing is not a problem.

There are three types of people in the world, those that are good at math and those who are not:)

I personally like Meridianpro.com Easy to deal with, affordable, and very quick. Only ever had to return one print, and they replaced it with 2 for no charge. (and I'm not 100% convinced the fault was theirs... but if they were offering, I was accepting)

Ok, I've chosen Black River Imaging. Very pleased with how easy it was to order from them. I even found a coupon code for, I think, 25% off! Tried to add 4-8x12's that I forgot on the first round but had to place separate order, even though it had only been 20 minutes....grrrrr and couldn't apply coupon code the second time but that was only like $13 including shipping so not grousing about it. My mistake, you know.

Anyway, I chose the 3 day shipping option so figure they'll be here by Monday-ish. Will let you know what I think. Chose metallic. Can't wait to see. Thanks for all your help!!

OP is in DE - safe to assume inches as measuring unit.
Even here in Canada, where metric is supposed to be the "standard" we measure photos in inches!
