Depends on what you want to shoot with it.
Great for doing aerials, which is mostly how we used it.
The lenses were amazingly sharp.
Forget it if you have small hands, it's a scaled-up Spotmatic made for Mike Tyson.
Fine camera though.

I liked the Mamiya RB 67 for studio & tripod work much better.
The camera stays oriented the same way for vertical or horizontal.
Leaf shutter let you sync flash all the way up to 1/400.
Interchangeable backs, built in bellows.

It's very well made, the lenses were excellent. Given its age, you may be looking at a shutter replacement somewhere down the line, but if the price is right, that may not be a serious problem. I love those big transparencies!

I can give you a chance for a 645 with a big sun flash. a ton of filters and three lenses two backs . for $600 . here's the kicker it's only had about 12 rolls of film through it .

If that's a Pentax 645, it's a fantastic little medium format camera.
Handles like a 35mm SLR- again, great lenses.
Between the two Pentaxes- the 645 would be my hands-down choice.
It's one of my favorite cameras ever, and I've used a lot.
Which model?
What lenses?

Too bad it's not broken in! ;)

I used to have one. Took great shots. Big and heavy though, basically a scaled up 35mm-like giant SLR. 6x7cm (~60x70mm) negatives and slide. Shoots 120 & 220 format film.

For how much totally? Which four lenses? Which head / finder (w or w/o meter)? w or w/o grip? Could be a good deal. Like a car though, I'd have a repair guy take it apart and look at it.

Mine died. Sold the lenses and meter prism finder, gave away the broken body. Though due to inflation at the time I recovered my original investment. I think I paid initially $400 for both a used body and used 135mm f/4 Macro lens. Later I bought a WA lens for it. I forget the price and f.l., perhaps 45mm.

It you don't mind the weight, it's a superb camera. Tack-sharp lenses. It has a couple of limitations, though. The first is has a very slow flash synch speed, 1/30 sec, so it is not suitable for use as a wedding camera. It can be used for that purpose with special leaf-shutter lenses, but that's an awkward work-around. The second problem is that it is difficult to hand-hold because the massive shutter mechanism often results in shake.

It's big' it's heavy. There is a lot of shutter/mirror vibration/noise. But it does work well for Long focal length work - like 200mm and up. Wide angle and normal focal lengths are better accomplished by Fuji pro 6X9 rangefinder, RB-67, or Graflex XL. The Pentax 67 lenses on the 645 is also a great combo !

Beautiful camera, make sure there is still service for it and enjoy. Pentax 67 can do anything 35 cameras can do just bit slower, but with an outstanding results.

If I'm not mistaken the Pentax 67 has a flash sync of 1/30 and no higher. That's the only reason I chose to go with the Pentax 645 back in the day.
