The pileated woodpeckers have been quite active at Circle B in Lakeland, FL. It was great to catch one in flight!

As much as I dislike woodpeckers for the damage they occasionally do to trees at my RI home, your photos here are great and a treat to see. The downloads are quite exceptional, showing their red swooped-back hairdo, fiery eyes, and all-business visage.
