We recently honored my wife's father. Served in the Navy during WWII. We are losing over 1000 of the greatest generation per day. Vietnam vets are getting up there too.

I enjoy studying world history, including wars and conflicts which are incredibly tragic, but none the less are part of our History. There is a series on Showtime "Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States" which are controversial at times, is still interesting. For example, Henry Wallace, VP under FDR was "squeezed" out of re-election in favor of Truman.
