What's with this "ERADR" and "EBTR" stuff?

Thanks for all the knowledge. When I say "non-linear", I'm not being very accurate. I mean that I have no problem making local tonal adjustments. I'm usually going for a pleasing look rather than an "accurate" mapping of raw sensor data. HDR is fun because one can do a lot with microcontrast adjustments, especially in the areas of shadows and highlights. Also, I find that PS's "shadows/highlights" adjustment tool is very useful because it allows adjustment not only of the amount of adjustment, but the tonal range affected and the radius with which the effect is applied. This can lead to much more pleasing results than what is possible with ACR's controls.

When I am back from Japan next week I will try to do more formal tests of ERADR.
