Both are delightful, but I love, love, love #2! The sky, the curve of the road, shape of the building, that reflection in left-side windows...so neat!

Thanks for your positive comment Linda, I appreciate it. #2 is my preference as well. I was fortunate that there was not much traffic otherwise I might not have been able to photograph it.

I like both images--composition is excellent. My slight problem with them is: the first one is canted about 1 degree and the second has lens distortion causing the upper floor to be out of plumb and the power pole to be tilted in. Both can be fixed in Photoshop CS6; however, I don't know if you have that program.

Thanks Swede. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment on these anomalies. I use PSE 11 and Picasa.
I don't intend upgrading to the full CS version.

#1 I did not notice the canting. I readjusted with Picasa by lining up the grid to the top of the roof and it looks pretty good.

I took these photos with an add-on .45x wide angle which should represent something like 16mm at 35mm equiv.. My FZ200 is a bridge with 24mm equiv at wide angle. So there may be other distortions that I didn't deal with and have to look into later.

#2 I tried skewing and perspective adjustments on the second photo but all that really does is to compress the image downward with the tools that I tried. Finally, the best remedy for the pole at this time will be to crop it out.

I appreciate your considering my ideas. Photoshop is the only program that I have found that allows the interior realignment of perspective in photos. You may find in the future that it will be advantageous but there is also a long learning curve in the program. In the mean time you are doing great with the program you have.

Thank you Swede. I tried cropping the crooked pole out but it had a negative effect on composition. I instead stamped it out along with the wires. That was a double positive.

Depending on the amount of achitectural photography I do I will consider acquiring a stand alone specialized program for correcting these anomalies. I've seen a few on UHH and also by query on Google.
