They shouldn't be. Their illegal parents come across the border and pop out a tricycle motor and suddenly the whole damn family are US citizens? Drop a baby in the sand just across the border and OMG!!!!! We are American citizens!!!!! Bullshit.

Are you advocating that the children remain here without their parents or are you advocating deportation of US Citizens?

It is NOT my understanding that Obamas announcement last night made the parents US citizens. It only allows them to stay in this country.
My understanding is that this is consistent with either laws of executive orders from at least 2 previous conservative Presidents.

There is no such thing as an illegal immigrant. These people are illegal aliens... they do not belong here. Their kids do not belong here. They are not immigrants nor are they native Americans by sneaking across the border to have a baby then claim citizenship. That is not how it is done.

A true immigrant is someone who has permission from the host country to enter from another country legally. Even if they have children while waiting in line to become a citizen, they must still go through the process to become a citizen.

Give me a break! These people put their kid ON TOP of a train and sent them unescorted, 4000 miles north through some of the worst countries in the Western Hemisphere! If any parent in this country did that to their kid they'd be taken away and the parent would go to jail.

Wrong. They are not US citizens. They are children of illegal aliens.

Some did, but I wasn't referring to them, sorry for the confusion.

I was referring to the people who came here illegally, years ago, and had children, born in this country, which by definition, makes the children US citizens.

Sorry for the confustion.

According to US laws........a person born in the US is a US citizen.

Sorry, if you don't agree..... but, that's the way it is.

Sorry but you are right, that is one law that needs changing. There are homes provided at a costly sum here and in many American cities, where women from all over the world live in and give birth to American Citizens.

Maybe for a small group who got the casinos, but for the rest of us, not so much.

Contrary to the interpretaion of these articles.

Currently, if you're born in this country, you're a citizen.

No. I don't consider the children U.S. citizens just because they were given birth here by a criminal. Send the children and the parents back and tell them if they want to come back do it by going through the immigration process according to our laws. It's a slap in the face of the immigrants that went through the process.

But the parents aren't unless Obama gets his way. If the parents cared for their kids they would leave and take the kids with them. Then follow legal immigration procedures. Or maybe you could take care of the millions of kids while you wait for the parents to return. This country can't afford to be the world's babysitter. So I'm a cold hearted person. I'm also a realist. When your house is full of the "children citizens" let me know. I'll send a few bucks to help on groceries.

It doesn't really matter what you consider or don't consider.

Let me know how it works for your conservative buddies when they start advocating deporting US Citizens.
