I thought it was a blue jay but it's color pattern is different.
It's a Stellar's Jay. They are raucus, like most jays, and really smart. If you throw some peanuts (in the shell) out, he will pick them up, one at a time, trying to determine which one is heavier....and will fly away with that one first.

Hate to nitpick but it is a Steller's Jay named after the following: Georg Wilhelm Steller (10 March 1709 14 November 1746) was a German botanist, zoologist, physician and explorer, who worked in Russia and is considered a pioneer of Alaskan natural history.[1][2]

I know it's not the best picture but it's the best I could do with my equipment sorry spelling is an issue
