A not too often seen event. This was taken on a Sunday morning on Ile d'Orléans on November 1st.

The farmer gave me his permission to take the photo but.... I didn't ask for a release.

CC welcome. Thank you.

I really like that picture. Nice looking horse and wagon. The wind chill factor must have been fierce as the farmer is well wrapped up and the horses mane is windblown. The only semi-critical note is the background is not the greatest. A grassy field would have been preferable.

I like the subject matter. What is distracting is the background. I understand, however, that we don't want to be overbearing when taking someone's photo. It was nice enough for him to allow the photograph. Being told where he should put his horse and wagon for best effect, might have been a bit much.

Thanks for your positive comment Erich.
And also for your critique.... you hit the nail on the head. All I could do with this was to crop and remove as much of the distractions as possible.

If you like Geolaval, I can blur the background and put a texture layer on it that will highlight your subject matter (and not look too unnatural).

I accept your offer and thank you Bob.

I would have done it myself but I've been processing some 250 photos from the trip to Québec and then I am still doing 100 from my Granddaughter's Confirmation a week ago..... Excuses, excuses.

Thank you for doing this Swede. You did a great job. The background is seamless and I agree that it's a much better photo after your intervention.

Geolaval, Swede has already finished what I had set out to do, so I will demure on making any more changes.

Love the house and driver; I agree back ground and a little more of the wagon
