What do any of you photo "experts" suggest for an inexpensive smaller camera that would fit in my purse. I would like a 3" screen and 16-20 megapixels for a clearer picture. Also memory card, rechargeable batteries, and USB cord for my computer. Zoom is not top priority on my list as this would basically be used for snap shots within 20 feet or so??? I am looking for the best deal for my money--suggestions???? Thank you! (inexpensive to me would be under $130)

Let's be realistic, $130 is not enough money today. I do not know your level of expertise but have you considered what a cell phone can do with its camera? That could be an alternative if you have not tried it yet.
Let me repeat again, I do not know your expertise level but there is so much to pick from in the second hand market, just to give you an example, that for about $200 you can get a very good camera and many times with a lens attached. Many of the old mirrorless cameras perform very well and prices are very reasonable.

IMHO, looking a a discontinued model can get you a bargain. Last month, I picked up a Nikon S6500 at Radio Shack for $70.00 check out this shot. Try getting one like this with a cellphone. Good luck

I use the Nikon S6500 for a pocket camera, it meets all your specs, including price. Great image quality and a touchscreen too.

Or if you want to go Canon, the whole powershot elph line is in this range. From around $99 to $170 for that strange little PowerShot N Facebook Ready thing.

But both Nikon and Canon have cameras that will service. You might just want to check Best Buy and Amazon to see what the current deals are.

As others here have responded, $130 is not a sufficient budget to obtain all that you want, which explains why I've waited so long for my $1200 Guardsman Red Porsche 911. Pick up any photography magazine, such as Popular Photography, Shutterbug, or Outdoor Photography (to name just a few) and spend time doing a little homework! UHH is not a forum for folks who just want to dip their pinky toe into the stream of this great hobby. Walgreens sells birthday snapshot cameras for under $8, confine yourself to one of those.

I have a larger Canon camera with 2 zoom lenses. I just want a small efficient one for my purse for random snapshots--not professional photography.....Thank you for your info.

Neither of these is under $130, which is what the OP stated she considers "inexpensive".
