There was very little light. By experience I knew that these nearly black oil drums from a dump would require special treatment. I exposed my Kodak PlusX film at a - 2 and processed at a + 2. I had professional digital copies made of the originals negatives from which the prints were made.
I have tried all kinds of titles - whatever moved me at the moment. The bottom one reminds of of Jupiter and Io - kind of.
The top one reminds the wife of an Angel.
Significant work, jim. I'm hardly qualified to offer comment here except to say I cannot stop looking and studying the detail. Gunk is good.
Thanks Carla. Your comments are an inspiration to me. And your are highly qualified.

I am a big fan of high contrast B&W. These are masterful.
Thanks mtparker. It's a distinct pleasure to have your comments. And, it's good to have another photographer of your talent join the group.
See ya around.
We find interest in the most non-expected places; that is what makes the photographers eye special. To me the first is an Iceberg in the ocean of the future with an inch of quieting oil courtesy of oil companies of the world. The second appears to be an astronomical shot... but is it disappointingly really just a plug in the bung?
Thanks for your response dpullun.
I like your designation better than the wife's. I showed her your response but she reminded me that once someone sees something in something it's near impossible to change that perception. It's STUCK!
It is my belief that a photographer, more than any other artist, has the ability to make known the unknown.
Hope to see ya' around some more.
