The top 10 list for taking................

When you see a blog or a tutorial on any given photo subject that starts out--The 5 tips for (our similar lead in to the article).....Do you find yourself guessing what the list or suggestions may be, before reading the article?

After looking at dozen or so "Top x Tips for <blah blah blah>", I stopped finding anything new. It's almost like each new list is just a cut and paste job from dozens that have gone before.

A parallel bog is "X examples of <silly adjective> <category> photos". The adjective that annoys the most is "mind blowing" which reminds me of Harlan Ellisons review of 2001 A Space Oddessy, to wit "some minds are easily blown".

What I find myself wondering before reading the article is if I'm actually going to learn something new, or if I'm about to waste my time because it will be the same old tips you find in every photography beginner's guide. Unfortunately, it usually turns out to be the latter.
