I responded to a classified on UHH asking for a photographer to shoot wedding ceremony aboard a Tall Ship in Dana Point, Ca. I'd never been on a tall ship before, so since I was 10 mins from the harbor, I decided it was worth doing. It was very harsh light, mid day, sunny and hot. I'm also not a professional; rank amateur at best! Art liked my posts and work, so he picked me to shoot his wedding. It was a lot of fun, met some very nice folks, and shot an emotional ceremony. Also, the Captain of the ship was Art's oldest son and it was his maiden voyage as Captain! Wish I could've gone to the reception, as I knew it would be great! Thanks Art, for your trust in me and I hope you like these images. Steve

Excellent set. Even better when you download. Art had to have been delighted with your work. Bravo.

Thank you Heart; I appreciate your kind comments. I'm not sure, however, what you mean by haze? There are a few photos where I took the clarity slider in Lightroom in the opposite direction to soften the complexions of the subjects, and give a more ethereal look to the image.

Sorry - meant to say the glare of the mid-day sun.

Scooter,

It was a wonderful day and YOU made it all the better. I love what you've done with the pictures. I'd like to clarify one thing... I personally invited you to the reception.

Yes, you did invite me to the reception, but I just was not able to attend. I guess I wasn't clear. I wanted to go, but couldn't swing it:-} I bet it was a great party!

Steve, you did a great job especially in the adverse photo conditions. Art is happy too and that is the bottom line!
I love what you are doing to your photos.....like #1, why does it have a "HDR" kind of look about it? What are you doing in PP work to accomplish such a great look?

I answered your question in PM. Thanks for the compliments. I have tons more pics I need to work on. It was a really fun shoot and the ride on the ship was really cool!
