Back in 1975 I bought a 1967 coupe....The last year of the series 1 e-jag. It was the last year with the glass covered headlights and the 3 SU carbs.

I loved driving that car.

Back in the late 60s I was stationed at Fort Ord, California near Monterey. On weekends I always hitch-hiked up to San Francisco to see my Sister and Brother-in-law. Right outside the main gate at Ft Ord was a shelter where soldiers gathered to catch a ride. One weekend I was pickeup up by a man in one of these and as we proceeded north he kept increasing his speed every time he though he saw a cop. We were rolling over 100 MPH on the 101 by the time we got to the bay area.

My 67 coupe was that color too. I believe Jaguar called it opalescant blue.
