Two pics of my mom. For the past 3 1/2 years, two of my sisters and I have been taking care of our mom. She stays a week at each of our homes. On weekdays, from 8:00am until 5:00pm she goes to an adult "daycare." This week, she is with my husband and me.

Mrodril1014, It's wonderful to be concerned with the family, it shows your LOVE is their.

We all should live 3 or 4 hundred years. Were born, were young, we go to school and learn and continue and experience takes place in our lives as time goes by. But, it's not enough time.

After we learn all that we do, their's no time left in our lives to enjoy what we've learned in our short life to continue on.

It's very sad. I am proud of you to show these fine photographs of your Mother in b&w that will always remain in family for ever! THANK YOU for caring and showing your photo thoughts. They are powerful, please continue and make more photos of your wonderful Mother. Just click away, you can edit them later in the future. Once she leaves us, photos of her cannot be made. With respect, AP

Thank you so much for kind words. It can be a bit trying at times but for the most part she is pleasant to be around. She is a pretty happy, healthy and content person,is a good subject to photograph and I enjoy doing so. I am sure there will be more pics to follow. Thanks for looking and commenting!
Sincerely, Mary

Beautiful picutre. Enjoy your mom in spite of her health concerns & mental state. I'm envious. My mom died 2 months after my wife & I married 40 years ago. She never got to meet her grandchildren & now great grandchildren.

Thanks for looking and commenting. I am thankful that my children got to know their grandparents. Along with my mom, my husbands father is still living. My father passed away 9 years ago and my mother-in-law 4 years ago. So sorry for your loss. They do learn a lot from grandparents. Hopefully some day I will have grandchildren of my own. My oldest is getting married next year!

Should have mentioned that my dad lived to be 95 dying in 1999. He lived with my sister in Overland Park, KS. When my sister & her husband needed to be out of town, they would call our daughter who was going to school in Denver and have her drive out to stay with Grandfather for a few days. They developed quite a bond. We have made an effort to be part of our grandkids lives and love having them around.

I am happy to hear that they had a grandparent to enjoy, it is a special bond. :)

Both photos are stunning black-and-whites. Great to see your Mom with earrings, hair beautifully coiffed. Your story of the loving care your family gives her is very touching, and serves as a wonderful example to the next generation.
