A few months ago I posted some shots of this barn as did Randy Abbott (Rabbott). This is what it looks like in the fall. I've also included some shots of the surrounding area. I got there right before sunset and almost missed the light.

Maybe Randy will post some from a different time of day. He said he was planning to go this weekend.

I like the fist image best of all because of the perspective of the composition and also the vivid color. On the last image, I would have liked to be able to see more of the interesting gate in the foreground. Overall, I think you did a very nice job of portraying the feel of the autumn season in the vineyards here in northern California.

I usually see the vines when they are green, these are beautiful with the fall colour. #1 for me super download. Excellent set. :-)

Thanks for the thoughtful reply Guy. The first was the image I planned to shoot, the others were afterthoughts. I would like to have been able to get farther away to capture the whole gate, but wasn't able to get the distance. Maybe a different angle would have helped. Now I have an excuse to go back. Soon the leaves will be gone from the vines. This vineyard seemed to have lost more leaves than others, but it had the interesting barn.

Thank you jeanbug. I've been fascinated by that barn ever since I spotted it several years ago. It's a bit out of my usual driving range, but worth the trip when the seasons change such as they do here.

A beautiful series, Vicki. The fall color really adds to the beauty of the barn and fields, and the vines pull the eye along nicely. Great job with these!
