I'm a believer! Beautiful shot, great composition, and being a fan of bright color, I really like this, Bob.

Spent some time when I was young working in southern Indiana, also a big tobacco growing area, and was interested to watch the growing and curing process there.

Superb work on this one!

Thanks much Randy. It seems that every time I take a new back road while out exploring, I run into another one of these drying barns. This one is in better shape than most as all of its outer walls are still fairly well intact. It's distinctly a mark of tobacco agriculture.

I've actually picked a few leaves of tobacco during harvest season. It's very easy on the hands.

That is a really nice old structure and the setting is very nice. I like it.

Thanks Erich. I normally render these structures as Low Key but this one had so much beautiful foliage wrapped around it that it seemed like a shame to strip it of its color ...... so I went the other route, supersaturating the living daylights out of it.

Thanks nimbushopper. I believe this is the most saturation I have ever added to a photo ..... and yet it seems to work.

Thanks Bob. Yep, I definitely prefer the smell of tobacco out in the field or inside a drying barn to that of one produced by a cigarette. It has a nice earthy touch to it.

Thank you nehal. Virginia is probably better know for its tobacco crops than North Carolina, so you're probably very familiar with these structures ..... and a dash of Indian Summer seems to work well with the old buildings.

Thanks ebbote. It's fun to chronicle seasonal changes in the backcountry.

I really like this shot. Old building, good and sharp and great colors. Couldn't ask for more.
