Cropped 4x5 TMax100. Yep! Still shooting this stuff. Most beautiful film ever when developed in split D-76. Some believe that Split D-23 is better.
Great shot Jim, well done B&W, love it.

haa. when I saw "girl with blue eye" I expected to
see a border collie. Often they have two different
colors. I like this very much.
Your talking a different language to me.
Your using 100 ISO film? and Tmax is the brand?
Guess I will have to Google this.
Thanks ebbote, I really appreciate your comments.
Mark, Thanks for your comment. I appreciate them very much.
Ansel would give you great encouragement. You have the "eye" - especially for three years in.
TMax100 is a sheet film that is used in a view camera on a tripod. I can also be used in the older hand held press cameras of a bygone era.
It's great that you have an interest. By all means, you should google it. Most of Ansels greatest earlier works were done with sheet film in a view camera.

Love the definitions of all aspects & the black and white
A powerful, thought-provoking image. I like it.

Hey, thanks Jim. (Questions)
Do they still make "view cameras"?
Or is that something you need to get used?
There's a place near me called Sammy's Cameras
and they have a back area in the store that is just
for processing film.
Thank you for your help learning the language.
Thanks, cam20000. I appreciate your comments.
Mark,
Yes. View cameras 2 1/4 x 3 1/4, 3 1/4 x 4 1/4, 4x5, 5x7, 9x10, and 11x14 are still being made. I think all of them except the 11x14 can be had at places like B&H photo and other on line stores. The 11x14 would have to be ordered directly from Deardorff - the manufacturer. I think the bare box would be around $4,000. The lens board, lens, film holders, tripod strong enough to handle such a beast, and other needed stuff puts it on the order of $25,000. Just a guesstimate.
What fun it would be to lug an 11X14 around such as Brett Weston did as a young man in NYC.
Thanks you very much Cliff. I appreciate your looking and commenting.
Very haunting image.
Do you do your own developing?
I did until I developed C.O.P.D. Now I must rely totally on digital as the fumes from my darkroom gave me many problems.
I am learning to love digital but will always miss developing my own film and printing with my D-2 enlarger.
Thanks for your very kind comments on my work. I really appreciate you skill and knowledge - and you eye.
