For used gear and collectibles I go to KEH and nowhere else.

Bh and adorama also have a used section for lenses.

I've bought and sold a ton of used lenses over the years, and have never had an issue...its a great way to upgrade your system economically

lensrentals.com has a keepers program. You rent the lens and if you like it and decide to keep it, you can apply most of the rental to the purchase. Truly try before you buy. Call them, because this is not clear on their web site, but they did announce this program recently. I agree that KEH has a good reputation here and so does used from B&H. Amazon has good return policies if you buy new and don't like it. Also, cameracottage.com, a UHH member, has used rentals occasionally, call him as well.

While I like B&H and Adorama very much, KEH has been my go to used gear place since the late 1970s. I am a photographica collector too and they have some expertise with really old cameras, lenses, and related stuff.

For user gear I find their rating system is very conservative. Well worth considering.

I've had excellent experience with KEH, and National Camera Exchange .
None with B& H though I'd not hesitate, and same appllies to Amazob, The latter yes due to past experience with other purchases of used products one not satisfactory but the seller was forced to make good sans hassle by mighty Amazon's clout used on my behalf .

That's like saying that I only drink wine that is at least 20 years old.

This question is preposterous. A new Canon 50mm f1.8 lens, EF mount, is only about $100. What you asked for doesn't exist.

So exactly what did you type wrong? Or are you just trying to sucker people into answering nonsensical questions?

Well, actually such a lens does exist. Sigma makes a 50mm f2.8 macro lens that comes with a Canon mount. It sells new for between $300 and $400; B&H currently sells it new for $349. KEH does not have a used one with a Canon mount available right now.

But hey, what would I know. I'm just a guy who gets suckered into answering preposterous, nonsensical questions! :?

Yeah, and there's a Canon 50mm macro that's f2.5. Seriously, a t5i to a 70D, eccentric lens requests and no follow-up? I'm betting troll having a laugh.

But maybe I'm cynical.
