Hi. Has anyone used this program? (HDR Projects 2) It's German. Sounds like it offers more graduations of presets than my Photomatix 5. Thanks.

If Photomatix isn't doing it for you, I urge you to try Nik filters. There's a trial download available.

I had never heard of this, so downloaded a trial version and was completely underwhelmed by it. I would suggest Fusion 3 long before I would pay the inflated price for Projects. Even that is too limited in looks for my taste. Nik, for me, has an unpleasant look and I don't use it at all any more. It is OK for sexing up fairly low contrast HDR scenes, but IMO can't hold a candle to Photomatix, especially the new "Contrast Optimizer" algorithm.

Another excellent natural-looking tonemapper is SNSHDR. The home version is very cheap and it gives possibly the cleanest look of any of them, and absolutely halo-free. I usually make the 32 bit file in Photomatix because of its unparalleled deghosting and excellent alignment, and then tonemap in both Photomatix and SNS.
