My new 150-600mm lens was a little slow on AF and a little soft at 500-600mm. I sent it back for a firmware update and believe me it made a
lot of difference. mdh

I'm considering the new Sigma. Now you've given me one more thing to think about! These are outstanding...

what great timing Morrisdh , these shots look great , i have packed mine in a box yesterday to send in to tamron for the same update
my copy worked well on my 6d but 5d mark 3 and 7d forget it , i was told to send it back by tamron 6mths ago but because i love the lens and it worked ok on the 6d i have been slow to do so , but after seeing your post i am glad that i have bitten the bullet and boxed it , so thanks again for the post

They will have it on its way back to you in three days after they receive
it. It made all the difference on my 7D and these are hand held not on a
tripod, but with my Sure Shot. After seeing the detail in all the ones that
Regis was posting and I was trying the same settings on my 7D I knew
it just wasn't all me. mdh

Thank you, I was about to be heart broken until I found out about the
firmware update. I was seeing other people post sharp ones and Regis
was and still puts it on me. Take a look at the down load on that ugly
duck I call Daffy's Mama it was swimming straight at me and has a lot
of detail in it. mdh
