Although I love taking pictures, I'm not comfortable taking pictures for someones special day. I got really nervous when my girlfriends niece asked me to take her save the date pictures.
The pictures were taken after 5pm and the Sun was going down fast. I had to wait until after the Browns win last Sunday before I could get started!!

For not being comfortable with it, you got some memorable photos - you can just see the sparks and emotion between these two 'kids' Personally, I don't think #2' that's partially B&W and partially color works for me, it makes the male look flat or out of place, or something. Good job!
My favorite is #1, I can see the emotion coming through. I bet she loves them. Great job.
I really like #1. Like the composition in all three. #2; partial B/W and partial color doesn't do it for me either.
Nice job...except for the partial color which ruins a potentially great image.
Rather than enhancing the image, it screams, "Look what I can do with Photoshop."
I really like #1 and overall you did a great job here.
I like the photos .I think I understand why you did no.2 the way you did , but I agree with the other members about at least having the option of having a copy of the no.2 in color for her and him . As the photographer , it's always your choice at the end .Tommy
Thanks for the feedback. I also like #1 the best. I also gave her #2 in all B&W and all color. I agree #2 makes the guy look flat, however these are young people they need choices and lot's of them. BTW, her favorite was the two tone #2. Her day, Her choice :)
Thanks again

I too agree with the majority on #2. This one really turned me off quickly. It reminded me of someone that just got off work at the coal mine.
I took my granddaughters Prom photos with her boyfriend. She was wearing a stunning Orange Formal and he was in the typical black tux with an Orange Bow-tie. I left her in the color and made him all B&W except for his Orange bow-tie.
She immediately rejected the photo!!
But kept and liked the full color one.
Still #1 & #3 are good shots cdavis
I really like all of them. The wife and I just did our daughters save the date and I found it easier to use a solid colored back drop because it makes it easier to add all the graphics to the cards.
