Thank goodness for Bees, Flies and Ants to practice on. Not particularly interesting but, you can usually find some for practice.

Very nice shots, I myself have found only ants and aphids but it's all practise.

Little bit of additional info for those who don't already know. Not all ants eat the aphids, they are farmer ants who do eat the sweet deposits the aphids produce after eating the leaves. The ants will even herd up the aphids and take them back to their nest for safety and take them back out to fresh leaves. Hope you are as amazed as I was when I found that out, I really thought the ants just ate the aphids. Better info here --> http://antark.net/ant-life/ant-feeding/ant-farming

Lovely shots. I agree. You can always find something to photograph if you look hard enough :)

cool shots. I've never seen a fly w/ pollen on it. will the ant eat the aphids or do they peacefully coexist on the flower. from what i know of ants, i think the aphids are in trouble. gary

I enjoy photographing those bees. You're right they are tiny a challenge to capture. You did well on these.

Nice shots, I think bees are really difficult. I have worked out they like to work in the sunshine and my shadow puts them off as well as the camera and diffuser. However, I do love photos of them and their luxurious colours.

Ditto. Know the feeling. When I start posting mushrooms, that's my sign of desperation.
