How did you get the SMD board to bend around the pen?
The blanks are special order and come as an 3/4 x 3/4 x about 2 1/4 inch turning blocks. The circuit board is part of the center brass tube. The acrylic is somewhat fragile and if not turned correct can literally blow into chips. I've wanted to turn these for awhile but wanted to get it on sale. I just ordered two more sets of blanks.

The board is printed and built on a brass tube rather than fiberglass pc board. The resisters and solider points are added and the whole things covered in clear acrylic. My job is to turn that little block into a pen. It's relaxing for me. I just finished turning a pen of Lignum Vitae that came from the recently moth balled steam ship Doulos Phos. It was used for bearings on the drive shafts.
