Its amazing what you can do with Lightroom to correct for exposure problems
always difficult to get the correct exposure shooting into the sun, especially when taking the dog for a walk....

I too started in photography in the early 70's, used to do my own B/W developing and printing.
I switched to digital around 1999, my first digital camera was a Fuji 6900 but later switched to Canon. These pictures were taken with a Canon GR1X, very good for landscapes and small enough to hang around my neck while walking the dog. I also have a Canon 7D and an older but still serviceable 30D
