Challenge Nov. 10-12, 2014 - Leading Lines & 'S' Curves
It's time for another challenge; this one is 'Leading Lines and 'S' Curves'. The following is quoted from the Digital Photography School.........
"Line is one of the most effective ways to draw your viewers eye into an image. Line is also one of the easiest of the six elements to find, because it is everywhere in both manmade structures and objects as well as in nature."
"Curves make an image easy to look at by leading the viewers eye through the frame. It is almost as if the photographer takes the viewer by the hand, draws them into the landscape, and points the way. The viewers eyes are compelled to follow the line.
Curves are graceful, rhythmic, dynamic and add energy to an image. They can separate or connect elements or simply offer a balance."

Also, feel free to ask questions; there is always someone who may be able to give you the answer. Please note I am learning too so depend on others to help out.
Have fun shooting and I look forward to your posts.
These first two are leading lines with a partial 'S' curve to....well it appears to infinity. These were shot at the same location, this one looking in a northerly direction.....

and this one looking in a southerly direction. We just had a challenge on Angle of Light and these would certainly provide how the light affected the outcome of these two shots.

A vertical line....when I look at this image my eyes move from the lower part of the image upwards towards the Cross located on the top of the steeple.

RR.. I like how in #3 the benches take you back into the picture and the staircase takes you up to the top... nicely done!

Oh my Bushido, is that first image for real...what an 'S' curve in that track! Wonderful images and love them in B/W.
I see we all seem to have found lots of lines. I seem to like curves.

It counts for me Lori....the road leads be around the curve and then leads my eye up into the mountains. A beautiful shot.

Starting out RR....your first image takes you directly into the unknown....I hope the road goes straight as I cross that crossing. And your third image moves me down the rows of pews but as I move down along the pew my eye moves to the curved banister and beckons me to that maybe I should take a balcony seat. Great shot!
