Some gas stations post the cash price of gas. Others post the one price they pay, regardless of payment method. We have Quick Chek here, and they have their own payment card. That's the lowest price listed. Cash is higher, and CC is higher still. Our county politicians are trying to pass a law that would require more accurate listings.
I got gas yesterday at a local place - $3.25 became $3.32 when I inserted the CC. Since I save 5% using the CC, I still came out ahead. It is annoying, though. I usually buy my gas at Citgo. It's the cheapest around, and they have one price for all payment type.
I got gas yesterday here in NC at a BP station for $2.95.

Last time I filled up here in Columbus, I paid $2.51/gallon. Kroger & Giant Eagle grocery stores offer fuel discounts for using their loyalty cards. For every $50.00 I spend a Giant Eagle, I get $.20 off a gallon. The limit is $1.00 off a gallon.
If I cross the Hudson and buy gas in Dutchess County, it will cost about fifty cents more per gallon.

just filled up at Costco....$2.77...if I cross over into South Carolina it's down into the 2.60's
I have to fill up soon, but the last station I saw yesterday had a posted price of $3.09 for 87 here in Victorville, California.
Price have been steadily falling here for the last 2-3 weeks.

Here in Phoenix gas is about $2.65 today. There's only one brand that I know of around here that prices up for credit cards - Arco. When you drive by one most of the time the store is empty of cards... gee, I wonder why?

Arco doesn't take credit cards, they only take debit cards. And they don't jack up the price per gallon, they add on a $.35 service charge. If you're filling up your tank, that comes out to a minimal increase. But if you're only getting a few gallons, then the price per gallon goes up significantly. Compare that to gas stations that tack on $.10-$.12 per gallon.
Enjoy these low gas prices while you can because I doubt it will last too much longer!
God knows what the oil companies have up their sleeve !

We shop for gas at our local Safeway... the price on the sign is the price on the pump and in the tank. Tell Arco sorry but I don't shop there if everyone else in town is charging what's on the sign. By the way, are you an Arco employee? Sure sounds like it.
How soon we forget eh? We were outraged when prices went over $2.00 per gallon. Now we're almost in a celebration mode when it drops below $3.79 or $ 4.00 in some areas.
We are so dumb.

Just the way it goes Sarge... When prices rise for anything we're always pleased when they drop... but your point is well taken.
I would drive all day back in the late 50s at 35 cents a gallon, who knew that prices would raise this high.
