Is there still an "IR" thread or has it been closed. I'm attempting IR film and need some advise.

Just ask ...that's what we are here for! :)
Just remember IR focus point is off a bit.....lenses on film cameras used to have a mark to help you out !
I'm trying to get my head around this IR stuff. I posted some digital ir pics but got little reponse. I've since learned that I need to adjust focus and thats why my pics were all soft. Ipurchased a few rolls of Rollie 400 IR film and plan to start shooting when I can get the sun and my schedule to cooperate with each other. I've read on the internet that my 950nm filter will probably not work at all with Rollie film so I got a 720nm filter. Now when shooting this film with a 400 ISO I will need to correct ISO about 4 or 5 stops depending on the light. I will also need to correct the focus to the red mark on my Bronica lens to compensate for focus offset. So if I meter with a 25 ISO set the camera up and focus correctly is there any thing else that I need to know before I burn up a roll of film. I just don't want to develop a roll of film and get nothing to work with. I hope this all makes sense to the rest of you. Anything I have been able to find out on the net is not like having someone with experience help me get off the ground. Any help is gratefully appreciated.
I just know about the focus issue (which I did see evidence of in your previous post)....never did shoot IR myself !

my opinion, take one of your older camera's and have a filter installed, or some people buy a p&s from the ir installers all ready to go....
