Not new to photography, just some aspects of it. Back in the 'old days' I used Nikon and Leica gear in the 35mm film era. Got away from all that and eventually went to what I call advanced point and shoot (Lumix FZx and currently Nikon P500). Now, I'm obsessed with obtaining a dslr. The expense of the gear has driven me crazy with trying to research the best choices in camera and lenses. That's how found this forum. Looking forward to lots of great input and info. I'll post the particulars of my search in a different area. As for now, Hello, and thanks.

Welcome to the forum - Ditto what rfbccb said. In the end, you try them out at the camera store and get the best of what you can afford.
