You are off to a good start. These are nice close-up photographs, but are not 1:1 magnification, which is required for this Macro Forum.
With all standard macro lenses, 1:1 mag is at Minimum Focusing Distance.
At MFD, the Minimum Working Distance (lens front element to subject) for your 90-mm lens on a Canon APS-C camera is 144-mm = 5.7-inches.
Any longer Working Distance is a close-up photo. Please consider adding a true macro-photograph to this thread.
Exif info for image #1:

Seems like everyone's doing bug shots. Most of them look pretty good, but it gets old after awhile. I've been thinking the same thing. Using new subjects.
What lens did you use here?

It doesn't appear to be. There's a lot of confusing information out there about "Macro". Lenses even contribute to this by stamping macro on it, when it can't do 1:1. The difference is (general public thought) macro 1:3 to 1:1 and "True" macro being 1:1 to 10:1.

Great shots none the less. Maybe try setting your lens to 1:1, turn off the AF, and focus by moving your camera.
Just stick around.....

I had AF off and was focusing by moving the camera but had to fine tune at the end by using the focus ring.

Nikonian, Gemlenz and Fly you all have good photos on your websites. Well done!

Here are some of my Photos. Some were 35 mm slides from about 30 years ago. And yes the bride and groom was our wedding day 45 years ago.

Thank you! I have only been doing photography of any kind less than a year and learned 95% of it here.
