I recently shot the partial eclipse of the sun, and I got this doubliing effect that I assume is caused by internal reflections. The equipment was a Canon 5d MK III with a 70-200mm f2.8 IS USM lens fitted with a Tiffen varaible ND filter at its darkest setting. A 2x Canon doubler was used to maximize magnification.
I have no experience with this kind of shot, but I'm guessing you guys have seen something like this before and, hopefully, can tell me how to avoid it.
