If there are egg sacks around her, then she is probably the nest mother. In Castaic Power Plant we had to be careful during the winters. In the fire control boxes (Outside in pits) the nest mothers would be standing guard over the next years broods. They were very aggressive and would actually jump at you to protect the egg sacks. One did that towards me once. The splatter was 14" from the corner she sprang from. :hunf: One more jump and she'd have been on me.

I know Black Widows have a place in Nature. But my Nature is to not let them have anyplace near me.
