Any one know of an AC adaptor that plugs directly into the camera and does not require the batter grip?

That may be a tall order, Joer - this is what the manual says (emphasis mine) "The camera can be connected to an optional AC-3 AC adapter via a power battery holder (HLD-7). Other adapters can not be used. The power cable supplied with the AC adapter can not be used with other products."
Looks like a proprietary, one-use/model-only deal.

I'm hoping third party manufactures circumvent this.
The WIFI connection is nearly worthless in cold weather due to the battery performance. Was hoping for a less expensive alternative to the Oly grip and adaptor solution.
