Mine is on the truck as I speak but is being delivered to my work. I won't be able to share any pictures until I get home tonight. so it won't be me who's first.

Those are nice Wings! I wish I lived somewhere that had birds other than pigeons, Ravens and barn swallows!

Oh my...just looked at my settings...they were really off :oops: It was about 4:00 in the afternoon and really overcast...and with these settings it's a miracle I got any photos in focus of that crazy little Ruby-crowned Kinglet ;-)
My settings were:
ISO 640
Aperture f/5.6
Shutter Speed 1/400th
Guess I was so excited i didn't pay attention to my settings ;-)

The only lens I ever use on my 7D and now 7D MarkII is my 300mm f/4 prime lens. Someday I would like to get the 400mm f/5.6 prime lens.

Jan, these are OK for beginners. Naw, they are fantastic! Seriously, you GO with your new rig! These shots are great (IMHO). You are expressing the desire to get and use the 400mm? Keep in mind this lens does not have IS. Most folks over-look that fact and shoot a fast shutter. Now you will be able to shoot lots of fast shutter shots. Have fun with the new toy.
