I really like #2.

#1 and #3 have some really blown out areas, which might have been the look you were going for, if not I would pull dodge back on some of the areas to bring some of the details back.

Yeah, that's the look I wanted, it gives them a little edgier style. These photos actually got me unsolicited offers of 2 more gallery exhibits, so I am booked into next year, even though I can't seem to type documentary correctly.

The grainy effect in #1 works great, luv it. Washed out effect adds to emotion of the protesters. great job, definitely worthy of an exhibition. You certainly do have the talent of a photojournalist.

Thanks for the kind comments. This is definitely keeping me 'occupied' but I love what I am doing. I'm not getting my taxes done and can't seem to find a spellchecker when I need one, but it's been worth every minute.

Well, you may not be happy with your performance on the qwerty piano, but you're quite good with your camera!
I particularly enjoy the guy's head in the background of #1. It's the type of thing I used to love doing back in the '70's when I was doing journalism. I used to call them "quirks".
I love quirks in photos!
Very nicely done!

Thanks. You're right-some of my favorite photos are what you call quirks!
Journalism, eh...people on this forum have such a broad spectrum of talents.

Wow....these are fantastic photo journalistic shots. They are edgy, as they should be in this context. Thanks for sharing these, I really liked viewing them. 8-)

Thanks. I admire your work and your technical expertise so it means a lot coming from you. You actually helped by answering questions in some of my posts.

Glad you enjoyed them. The edginess was partly out of necessity.. learned quickly I had to make some compromises to stop motion blur, really liked the style and stuck with it. Seemed a good way to go for the subject matter and no one else seemed to be doing it that way.

Nice work, PhotoDeb. As a once-upon-a-time news photog, I appreciate that edgy, journalistic look. It looks like you know your craft.

I do flowers and abandoned houses not photo journal work. I couldn't put my finger on the word I was looking for to describe them by 'edgy' nails it.
The photos are great and so is the cause stay with it;

Google has a good spell checker, works on all documents including the Hog and it know how to spell documentary. You have to down load a tool bar but than uncheck what you don't want.

Again sharp, edgy shots.
