Voter fraud vs election fraud

A lot has been posted about voter ID and voter fraud on this site, a favorite topic of th republicans here. But very little has been foud to offer proof of any real significant voter fraud. Ohio apparently for instance of 17 cases of voter fraud in the 2012 election. Hardly enough to change the outcome.

However, what should be of greater concern is election fraund. This includes cases where not enough polling places are avasilable, or registrations froms lost, or ballots are lost, or not enough ballot forms are available, or computers that mysteriously go down or register votes incorrectly. The list goes on and all have happened.

In Ohio in 2004 the computers went down at 11:14 PM . When they came back the lead switched substantially from Kerry to Bush. In 2012 The computer went down again at 11:13. Carl Rove, on FOX News, apparently expected a change to happen again but it didn't happen this time. Read about it here: http://truth-out.org/news/item/12845-anonymous-karl-rove-and-2012-election-fix

If Republicans are really concerned about honest elections they should be directing their energy toward eliminating election fraud rather than voter fraud, which, I truely believe is about voter suppression.

...and let's not even get into gerrymandering... the semi-legal way to fix multiple elections at the same time.

Well now...just exactly HOW should the Republicans proceed with this campaign to eliminate Election Fraud, when the current Administration in the White House oversees and controls Federal Elections...and those folks were all schooled and trained in the "finer points" of Election Theft, in Chicago, Illinois...(can you say Daley)?
And as far as the 1916 Federal Elections go, what makes you think that Federal Elections will be allowed...and if they are, what are the odds that the Chicago crown will allow the votes to be counted and reported honestly?
Get real!!!

This has been going on for years and years, by both sides. As long as there are politicians, it will continue; it isn't about to change. A party gloats when such things are in its favor, and it whines when things go the other way. Get used to it.

I understand now. You mean like in two different states recently where when a person voted for a Republican candidate the machine logged the vote for the Democratic candidate. Chicago was one of the cities. Gosh, go figure huh. Those darn old Republicans.

The DEMs have done it everywhere they get voted in but it only seems to be a problem when the other party does it.

Your map is of Chicago, one of the crookedist cities in America.
Just look who runs Chicago.

I wonder how any honest and rational person can consider the IRS intimidation, outright refusal to grant exemptions and organizational delays to any organization with philosophical differences to the Obama administration as anything but voter suppression? With more and more polling location converting over to digital machines hacking and intentional miscounts are becoming faster and easier. To quote Joseph Stalin: “"You know, comrades, that I think in regard to this: I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how."

Both sides do it... the republicans controlled the elections in 2010, so they are the latest culprits... we'll see what happens in 2020.

You should know by now, from reading this forum, that only conservatives can suppress votes. When the liberals do it, it is the correct and moral thing to do.

Yep, that's how it is supposed to work...unless you're part of the Barack Obama crowd who is more than a Dictator, he's two of the three parts of Government...and no one has told him "NO!" Just like Hitler did.
