The D7100 also just dropped to $946.95.
These are "temporary" instant rebate offers and will not last, but these drops typically preceed new product introductions so I look for a D620 and D7200 to be announced for CES in January.

B&H is advertising $800 off the price of the Canon 1dx. I wonder if that will see an upgrade soon.

I thought that the D750 was originally meant to be the D610 and because of the D600 fiasco they did some development swapping around to accommodate the problem.

I just bought mine at the end of August, darn case of GAS. Well at least Nikon didn't do what they did to the price of the N70 in the late '90s when the cut the price in half!

We still have a very nice camera in the D610, I got mine in July so I understand what you are saying.

No, the D750 was always meant to be the replacement for the D700!

I love my D610. It does things I only dreamed of doing with me D80. My images are now in the realm of what I used to get with Kodachrome, only much faster ISO's. I compared photos I took in September of the Grand Canyon to some I took back in the '70's with my dad's F2 on Kodacolor 64, and it was hard to tell the difference. It's just that Nikon seems to have a habit of dropping their prices on popular models.
