Yep, that's right. Its one of them.
After a couple warm days of rain - more like drizzle, the sky cleared at the end of the week, and by morning we had a killing frost. But the hardy
Marigold was still there for the taking.
I came home around noon from a session of shooting Bald Eagle pics and the temp had climbed to almost 70-deg F - a lot warmer than when I left for the mountain lake.
Little whites were flitting all around the woodlot - some hardy wildflowers were still in bloom.
As I sat by the window enjoying lunch, I saw this butterfly land on the Marigold flower. At first I thought it was a Skipper. I grabbed the camera and went out to shoot some pics. To my surprise, it was a Yellow Sulphur! Looks like it got a little frost bitten.
Enjoy these. Comments welcome.

PS: Yeah, I know. I got carried away with the border. But, what the heck. It gives you something to talk about.

:-) Thank you, Linda. Glad you like the butterfly. Thanks for looking.
Very nice shots Gene of a cute butterfly!
I love marigolds, they are the only annuals I plant every year, they look good from spring to fall and the butterflies and bees love them!
:-D
Beautiful color and sharp detail, Gene. It doesn't get any better. :-)

:-) Thank you, Angela. My wife plants them every time she gets a chance. They were a favorite of our moms and grandmoms. Glad you like these and thanks for looking.
