For some reason this lens quit auto focusing. I have tried it on 2 different cameras. (D90 and D600) Any suggestions other than getting new lens or a different brand of cameras.
Have you cleaned the lens contacts?
Also, check the AF/M focus switch to see if it still clicks between the settings, the switch itself may have failed. Sigmas service is exemplary and the lens is likely still under their 4 year warranty.

If you try everything that it still not working, send it back to Sigma, if still under warranty! If not don't bother repair it, it will cost at lease $400. It happens to my Sigma 50-500mm after 5 years with moderate use, the AF died, I asked the price and it was the answer same as the other repair shop may be more. I will not buy Sigma anymore! I stay with Nikon!
I am not sure how long I had the lens, It has to be close to 4 years any how. Focusing quit a long time ago and reviews say that happens a lot with sigma so I just consider it the norm. Yes I cleaned the contacts and tried wiggling it and the switch has a good click to it. I use the 70-200 Nikon and zoom with computer to try for same results but just not the same. I also have an award winning picture taken with the Sigma so manual may be worth it.
I have the 100-300 Sigma and the AF has quit twice now - while still under warranty - but I am planning for the day it goes out of warranty - If it were not such a great lens I might not bother - but it IS !

That seems to be a common Sigma problem.
It may be time to start looking at the Tamron SP 150-600mm VC lens. I've been using mine pretty heavily the few months, and the AF is spot on, even on my 7D. It also came with a 6 year Tamron warranty. There are several members of the local camera club who shoot Sigmas and everyone seems to have a issue with AF on their longer lenses. It also doesn't seem to be brand specific either, both Canon and Nikon owners have the same problems. I put a friends new Sigma 70-200 on my 7D a few weeks ago, and like on his 5DIII all it did was hunt, and it was a bright sunny day. Actually, the lens was new out of the box just two days earlier, bought for vacation in New Orleans.
