The title is actually a bit harsher.......
Wow...I can't remember ever reading an article so unaccepting of people who are different than you... She's utterly repulsive and I didn't find a thing she said to have any meaning at all except to show her hate. It's a shame some people can't put in for a personality change.
Whoa is right, this broad is treading backwards about two centuries.

It was kind of harsh. But what I noticed more than that how she thinks the Republican party is focusing on a select few when they should be trying to broaden their base even further.

I noticed that, she slams Boehner for accepting gays when her party needs a bigger tent. I have never heard any of my gay friends talk like her, her party can have her...

Hmmm... Although I do not like the Republican establishment I do not like the evangelical side of the party either, they are too ridged in their stances and do often blur the line between conservative political principles and religious dogma. I absolutely defend religion and Christianity in this country, I feel that the left's war on religion has gone way to far in our society, in example the ten commandments in a courthouse does not hurt anybody. But at the same time birth control, abortion, gay unions.... Well there has to be some reasoning and room for disagreement within the party on these issues. The evangelicals tend to leave no room nor will they consider the ramifications of their positions and what it means for the party. The republican party supports the church but it is not the church's party, and the evangelicals should damn well realize this!
So, evangelicals stay home and allow president Obama a second term. That was real smart, this president has done great damage to this country that will be long lasting, we only hear about the big things, but many of the appointments and personnel decisions being made by this administration will have lasting impact on our country.... So... Puck the evangelicals if they are so short sighted and selfish.
Personally I do not support Gay Marriage, but I have also come to understand that Gay couples are due the same protections of our laws that heterosexual couples have, in terms of the state it is a legal contract and should be dealt with as such. The state has no business in the marriage business but has a great deal of business in legal contracts... Civil unions should be the the concern of the state, marriage can remain the concern of the church... but neither the dems or the evangelicals can see straight on the issue.
Abortion? There is a period of time that the fertilized egg is not a human, and if an abortion will save a child from a life of poverty, abuse, and a substandard existence, not to mention sparing the lives of the parents circumstances that they may not be able to overcome then I say as much as I detest abortion, I certainly recognize the necessity. Not to mention the growth of a subclass in this country that will never be given the opportunity that can only be provided by a stable and loving home... Let's not pretend that all is peachy keen and that abortion only serves for a woman to avoid a minor inconvenience... that is far to simplistic a view.
Religion belongs in the church, and there is no problem with voters voting based on their religious principles, but when religion tries to govern our party..... WE ALL LOSE.
