Welcome to Day 44 :) Today we are going to work on a bit of an odd concept of composition.. Diagonals. Diagonal lines are used to direct your eye through the photograph. So give your camera a little twist and make that straight shot a bit of an interesting angle instead :)
Here are a few examples to get us started.
love that bridge and the last one especially ....I like a desert environment and the open feeling you can experience there...it seems the opposite of here. lol....This will be a fun challenge..looking forward to it.
Marnin',
I would have like liked tilts because I have more of them than diagonals
Hmmm, this will be interesting :) great pics so far
Second cup is done....
The Magdelan Islands are maybe the most colourful islands that I've seen. They just got hit by a blizzard, 200+telephone poles are down and no power anywhere, for the moment. Should take up to five days to completely restore
I love the use of lines. I try to pull your eye in and hold them if I can, sometimes it works, and sometimes it don't.

Oh fstop22 - between you and RR, my eyes are waking up! Consistently excellent. My eyes are now well into my computer screen following your lines.
Early morning error, I forgot to crop out the fender in the red house shot. G-r-r-rrrrrrrr

Really nice job and yes, lines will visually tie you into the shots
Off to work......work? I'm retired. No I'm not really, ever hear of a Honey-Do list?
I like these choices of lines.

Well I guess this will be a new creative idea for me to keep in mind when taking pictures. I don't have much and can't get out. Not sure if the second one counts.
See those logs with my podnah?
Well tell you something. You know that pipeline they want torun from Alberta down tothe States? Well these logs are the "fruit" of a pipeline between Québec and Mnotréal. The contractors move in and cut and ahaul the wood out tothe roadside. The owners of the lands are paid so much per acre and after the pipeline is installed, they will leave the terrain there, leaving access for maintenance and all but those pine trees are gone, and they are irreplaceable. A friend who owns this land sawed up his trees into 2" thick boards, blocked them and because there are s omany trees being cut, he has a problem selling pine boards for $2.00/ft.
