Hello from S.E. Kansas
Greetings all,
I'm a newbie to both this forum and photography. I love photographing local events, family, friends, flowers and wildlife.
I recently upgraded from a Olympus point & shoot camera to the Nikon D3100 which included the 18-55mm lens, and have added the 24-120mm, 55-200mm, 70-300mm, and 35mm lenses to my collection of lenses along with a Nikon flash and tripod. Perhaps sometime in the distant future I will upgrade to a full frame camera. But for now, I'm happy with what I've got.
I'm looking forward to learning more about ISO's, focal points and lighting techniques. I love reading the various topics posted here. Thus far, they have all been very helpful.
Thanks for allowing me to join the group.

yes taking photos of events, family and friends can be fun but supplying photos to every one is a chore. Also there are not many photos of oneself unless you take a selfie.
I tried selfie once, didn't turn out so well. My arm wasn't long enough when using the 70-300mm lens.
Aloha Sunnybuck and welcome to UHH.
Greetings, and welcome to the UHH!
