My old friend

A spur of the moment shot taken of 'Max' when he jumped into my g/f's lap while sitting outside. He gave me 20 years of friendship and company. May he rest in piece. I miss him.

Thanks y'all. He had a good long life and was so ugly that only myself could love him!! I got lonely after several months and got a cat, so I've got company again. The g/f is now living in Minnesota which has better facilities for her ailing condition. No pity required <|:-)

I know just how you feel. It brought tears to my eyes as I thought of my two I just lost. One in July and the other in August of this year. You never forget them. God bless all the dogs....Rich

Thanks to both of you. He was falling up and down the steps and sometimes when he lifted his leg, he'd fall over. I couldn't stand to see him this way, so I had him put down. To this day, I question my actions. Was it too soon? to late? Either way, it sucks. I hope he knows why I did it.

I know exactly how you fell. My first one died of a tumor burst in the stomach and the one in August had to be put down for the same reason you put yours down. She would fall down the steps and at the bottom just lay there with very sad eyes that were asking for help. Like you I felt the same way but the Vet said that there was nothing that could be done and it was the best thing for her. As you I will always wonder....Rich
