Very cute. But every bird that has manged to fly into our house has been unable to find its way out. Probably not a big issue for a hummingbird. A starling came through the wide-open screen in the bathroom last year and was stuck for what we guess was about 6 hours. Bird crap everywhere.
None of them could not be "herded" out the door or window they entered. They all had to be caught then taken outside.

that would be bad, yes but it looked to me like this one was a regular guest and did not panic as I have seen over the years when a strange bird found its way into our home. I wouldnt want any wild animal feeling trapped in the house, not good for us or the animal but I have also seen an old man here who had a wild squirrel that came to the door looking for his daily treat. Some folks I guess just have the nack? Interesting to watch but like sky diving, nothing I want to try.

I had the same experience even with hummingbirds.

I once had a chimney swift get into the house. Fortunately he/she noticed open french doors to a sun porch; we were able to close the french doors and open the door on the sun porch. Little guy did leave some soot here and there!
