First of all thank you all for the invaluable info that's been posted.
I'm heading to Mt. Dora, FL for a wedding next week and hopefully will get some spare time to shoot. Any places for photo ops (landscapes, old buildings, barns, towns) in the area?
Have fun! (There's a mountain in Florida?)
Yes, Mt. Dora, Taveres, and Leesburg are full of old buildings and BIG lakes. All kinds of stuff away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando. Mt. Dora is a wonderful place full of photo ops. Have much fun and show us some pictures, please.
Downtown is VERY photogenic, and on the weekends theres a flea market that covers acres... At least the use to be one....
Thanks for the heads up Don, now my wife wants to take another suitcase, just in case :D :D
Even a fine dining train that goes a few miles in one direction and backs up to the beginning point. Great food. Seaplane base at Wooten Park in Tavares is always good for some good food and fun. Many things to see and do so the extra suitcase will probably be needed.
Make sure to take the pontoon boat down the Dorah canal. Great place to take photos. Usually lots of gators too. You can get tickets online I believe too . Have fun! Make sure to post pictures.

There are several mountains in Florida, all with the same name... Mt. Trashmore. They are usually covered with Seagulls and many green Waste Management trucks run up and down them all day. Things of beauty!

Ah yes, the Mt. Trashmore's! You can even smell the methane as you approach!

Give my regards to your bride, and good luck with the shooting. A honeymoon can really eat into shooting time. :D
Just got back from Mt Dora. Go by the lake at Lakeside Inn. There are a couple of nice little parks as well.
Make sure to take the boardwalk at Pine Island Park. There is also a lighthouse.
