Need recommendation for lens, to shoot real estate photography and tri-pod with head type? also any tips from real estate photrographers would be greatly appreciated! I use a Canon Rebel T3.

24-70 mm 2.8 will probably fulfill most of your needs. In a perfect world you should use a perspective control lens to photograph buildings but if you're shooting typical one family homes it shouldn't be much of an issue.

I have done some real estate stuff and for the interiors I have canon's EF-S 10-22mm lens. It has awsome depth of field and is wide enough to get three of the walls in a room in the photo. This lens has L quality glass in it but can not be designated such because it is for croped sensor cameras only. I do use it for exterior shots sometimes when I can't get far enough away to use a longer lens. othrwise I use the 24-105mm.

Single most important thing is learn how to do perspective control in Photoshop or some other app that works. The goofy angle is the great destroyer of RE pics. But hey, you can't always keep your camera level.

Don't forget to consider a flash unit to light those darker areas.

I just shot rooms for a motel and used the tri pod mounted cannon 10-22 on a 60D. Everything went great.
