Water.
After a week of 80 degree weather, I decided to get out of the house and into the brush country with my FZ200 (which is a computer that just happens to take pictures and a camera that I still don't fully understand). Guess what? By 2:00 pm it was 97 degrees. My luck! Anyway, I had plenty of water so I toughed it out. Very few birds came in to the pond and no mammals. I thought I would show you what I did get. As I sat there in the blind watching the drinking and the play, I realized, as I have so many times, how important water is to everything. Perhaps we don't think about that too much since it is available to us pretty regularly.
Taken back in January with cannon Birds have conventions too.

I chose this one because I forgot to place water at the base of the Lantana that I had set up as a prop.

If I had to drink like this, I would surely drown.

Good series! I love your sandhill crane pic. I have never seen that many at one place . . . but then it was a convention! Like the other pics as well, than you for posting.

1 in 9 humans lack access to clean water
Thanks Digital. Wish I could visit your part of the world. Maybe some day.
Rivernan-- We have had a severe drought for seems like forever so when you don't have it thats when you get serious about water. Thanks for viewing.
What gorgeous shots! I love the 'sloppy drinker'. :-D Great catch!
That seems funny to me....since I live on the Delaware River, in an area that is effected by rain or lack there of, rather than tide, and I think about it all the time....
