The plan this morning was to photograph the moon setting over Mt. Rainier. Clouds did not cooperate, but there were a few consolation prizes: a bit of eclipse, spectacular sunrise, excellent waffle breakfast :)
Canon T3i, 55-250 kit lens, Canon SX50. Lots of edits and play.
Thanks for viewing!

Goodness Linda, your pictures turned out really nice - great colors and good moonshots! That breakfast must have capped it all off. Does your SX50 do as well as the T3i?

Beautiful shots in spite of the uncooperative clouds, Linda. The last shot alone is worth the trip.

Thanks so much! I've gotten some scenic SX50 shots I'm quite happy with, most recently the Mount Rainier cap cloud series, but overall, the T3i is still the best quality. I only used the SX50 this morning 'cause I didn't think I "needed" to bring any SLR lenses other than the 55-250. When the moon set was a bust, I needed wider angle. I'll learn eventually :)

Thank you so much, Jimjay. Mount Adams frequently displays her beauty for the Yakima Valley. She is very photogenic, regardless of time of day.

No complaints from me about this set! The color in the last is amazing, moon or no moon, and the moon images are up to your usual standard of excellence in color and composition.

FWIW, our eclipse and red moon were almost completely buried in heavy overcast and showers. Also as usual. : (

Nice work, Linda. I usually vote for the boysenberry syrup on waffles, but have no objections to maple. None whatever.

Yum! : )

Thanks so much, Randy! I asked for maple and apricot - kept them separate :) One time I smuggled in my own - the REAL maple syrup from Vermont!

Spectacular shots Linda. We were under a heavy cloud cover; a nasty front moved through. But where's the picture of the waffle breakfast?????
