Fall Colors in New Mexico
Oct 7, 2014 20:37:47   #
Albuqshutterbug Loc: Albuquerque NM

Shot in the Fourth of July Canyon known for its sugar maples. There appears to have been too much water late in the year for these trees and they are infested with aphids.
This has caused a lot of the leaves to have already dropped before they have a chance to change colors.
Somewhat depressing.
This is a 2 photo stitch looking up one of the glades.
Canon 5D Mark II

Well, in spite of mother nature screwing up your shot, it looks good with lots of color!

I feel your pain. For whatever reason a lot of our trees here seem to be going directly to brown. Oh well. At least we have winter to look forward to. Not.

This area is normally blazing with reds and magentas.
I'm pleased with what I was able to capture just disappointed that its an off year.
Thank you for the compliment.

Our Aspens are turning early but they are going through the usual cycle so that's a plus.
Winter shots are something I love to shot and being in the high desert, it can really be nice.
Good luck with your shooting.
