While wandering around in the back garden, I stumbled upon this little gem. Lumix DMC-6, HD 45-150 zoom lens with extension tubes 10 & 16 mm combined. Posting 4 images, please try the downloads.
Interesting progression! So many cool shapes to leaves at this time of year--faces, ghosts, even once got a shot of a leaf that looked just like Batman!

Nice job!
Thanks Randy, really appreciate your visit and your comment, I know what you mean about shapes. I captured one earlier in the year that looked like a fruit bat. Thanks again.
Very artsy Jim... I like them!! ...were you trying to burn that leaf with a magnifying glass and the sun??!! ....just kidding! :D
LOL, thanks Angela, no I think Mother Nature was trying to prove who's boss. She certainly showed that leaf. Glad you enjoyed them; thanks for stopping by and for the nice compliment. :-D
Jim, a worthy subject. As to your edits however, the last one is superb, overshadowing the other two by a mile.
Greetings Bob, I completely agree with you. I took an excerpt from your chapter on chiaroscuro and dark details in tonal layering. I know we use different software, but the approaches to deal in PP with what we have and are used to makes this a wonderful challenge. Having said all that, beauty is as always in the eyes of the beholder and therefore the reason for posting 3 versions plus the original. Please feel free to grab that first image and play with it in your software if you have the desire. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and for the very nice comment.
